Since का प्रयोग हम किसी निश्चित समय (specific point in time) के लिए करते हैं — यानी कोई तारीख, दिन, या समय जब कोई काम शुरू हुआ हो।
🔹 Structure: Subject + has/have + been + verb-ing + since + specific time
- I have been living here since 2010.
- She has worked here since Monday.
- We’ve known each other since childhood.
👉 ऊपर दिए गए examples में 2010, Monday, childhood ये सभी “fixed point of time” हैं – यानी “कब से”।
2️⃣ 'For' का इस्तेमाल
For का प्रयोग हम किसी अवधि (duration of time) के लिए करते हैं — यानी कितने घंटे, दिन, महीने या साल तक कोई काम होता रहा।
🔹 Structure: Subject + has/have + been + verb-ing + for + period of time
- I have been living here for 10 years.
- She has worked here for 3 days.
- We’ve known each other for a long time.
👉 यहाँ “10 years, 3 days, a long time” ये सभी duration दिखाते हैं — यानी “कितने समय तक”।
